The Short Version
- You only give us personal information if you fill in a contact or estimate form.
- Those forms send your submission to us by email. The website has no customer accounts and no database of visitors.
- There are no analytics, advertising or tracking tools on the site at present.
- One cookie is set, and only if you choose a language from the translation menu.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested.
Who We Are
This website at dreamhomefloors.com is operated by Client to confirm: legal entity name ("Dream Home Floors", "we", "us"). Our mailing address is Client to confirm: business mailing address.
For anything in this policy, contact us at Client to confirm: privacy contact email or Client to confirm: phone number.
Information You Give Us
The contact page and the estimate request form ask for some or all of the following:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Project address or ZIP code
- Project details, such as rooms, materials, approximate size and timing
- Any notes you choose to add
When you press send, your browser posts the form to a script on our web server. The script checks the fields and sends the submission to us by email. As currently built, it is not designed to store submissions on the website itself. Copies will exist in our email system and may exist in the web server's mail logs, under the retention settings described below.
Please don't include payment details, government ID numbers or other sensitive information in a form. We don't need them to answer an inquiry.
Spam Protection on Our Forms
To keep automated spam out, each form includes a hidden field that people never see and a check on how quickly the form was completed. The handler may also briefly record the sending IP address to limit repeated submissions from the same source. This information is used only to block abuse.
Information Collected Automatically
Like nearly every website, this one is served by a hosting provider whose servers keep access logs. A typical log entry records your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page, your browser and operating system as reported by your browser, and whether the request succeeded.
These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, for example to diagnose errors or block malicious traffic. They are held by our hosting and network providers, Client to confirm: hosting and network provider names, for Client to confirm: server log retention period.
How We Use Your Information
- To reply to your message and answer your questions
- To prepare an estimate, arrange a measure or site visit and plan the work you ask about
- To keep a record of the conversation and any project that follows
- To keep the website secure and working
This site has no advertising tools, and nothing on it builds an advertising profile. Whether submissions are ever used for follow-up marketing, and how you can opt out: Client to confirm: marketing use and opt-out.
Third-Party Services
Google Translate is the only third-party script the site can load, and only at your request. When it runs, Google receives your IP address and the text of the page so it can translate it. Google's handling of that data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
There are no analytics, advertising pixels, social media embeds or chat widgets on the site at present. If we add analytics or any similar tool later, we will update this policy to say what it collects before relying on it.
How Long We Keep Information
Form submissions are kept in our email system for Client to confirm: retention period for inquiries. If you become a customer, project records are kept for Client to confirm: retention period for customer records. Server logs follow the hosting provider's retention period noted above.
Your Choices and Requests
You can ask us what information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any records we need to keep for legal or accounting reasons. Send your request to Client to confirm: privacy contact email. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you further rights. Which laws apply to this business, and the process for those requests: Client to confirm: applicable privacy laws and request process.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site works without the googtrans cookie; you'll just see it in English.
Security
Pages and form submissions travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, though, so we can't guarantee the security of information sent over the internet, and email in particular can pass through several systems on its way to us.
Children's Privacy
This website is meant for adults planning work on a home or building. It isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to Other Websites
Some pages link to other sites, such as manufacturer resources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn't cover.
Changes to This Policy
When the site changes in a way that affects your information, for example if analytics are added, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
